Extraction protocol |
Wistar rats were fasted overnight and killed by CO2. A piece of the reight venreal liver lobe was removed and clamp frozen. Total RNA was isolated from the clamp-frozen liver pieces using RNeasyR mini spin columns (Qiagen). The purified RNA was routinely checked for visible signs of degradation in a Bioanalyzer 2100 (Agilent Technologies, Palo Alto, USA), and only high quality RNA was processed.
