Definition

A neoplasm that arises from the ovary and is characterized by the absence of atypical or malignant cytological and architectural features, and absence of invasive features or metastatic potential. Representative examples include serous cystadenoma, mucinous cystadenoma, clear cell adenofibroma, benign Brenner tumor, thecoma, and fibroma. [from NCI]
