Definition

Benign vascular proliferations following external radiation for breast carcinoma. The lesions arise from the radiated skin and are papules, small vesicles, or erythematous ecchymotic plaques with prominent telangiectasias. There is an increased risk for subsequent development of angiosarcoma. [from NCI]
