Definition

Refractory cytopenias with multilineage dysplasia (RCMD) is a frequent subtype of myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS; see this term) characterized by 1 or more cytopenias in the peripheral blood and dysplasia in 2 or more myeloid lineages. [from ORDO]
