Definition

A rare acinar adenocarcinoma of the prostate gland with unfavorable prognosis. It is composed of both malignant glandular and sarcomatous components. The sarcomatous component contains a malignant spindle cell proliferation or specific mesenchymal elements including osteosarcoma, chondrosarcoma, and leiomyosarcoma. [from NCI]
