Definition

A multinodular intermediate fibroblastic neoplasm arising from the retroperitoneum. It is characterized by the presence of spindle-shaped fibroblasts and myofibroblasts, and a chronic inflammatory infiltrate composed of eosinophils, lymphocytes and plasma cells. [from NCI]
