Definition

Urachal diverticulum is the rarest type of congenital urachal anomaly (see this term) resulting from the failure of the distal urachus to close at its point of connectivity to the bladder that is usually asymptomatic but can be associated with recurrent urinary tract infections and other complications. [from ORDO]
