Irreversible Electroporation Therapy

The use of a dose of electricity that causes the pores that are formed in CELL MEMBRANES during ELECTROPORATION to remain open long enough to trigger CELL DEATH. It is sometimes used in conjunction with ELECTROCHEMOTHERAPY.
