type III secretion system inner membrane ring lipoprotein SctJ
This model describes the lipoprotein SctJ (Secretion and Cellular Translocation J), one of two inner membrane ring proteins of the basal body of the type III secretion system (T3SS) that is found in many pathogenic bacteria. Lineage-specific names for SctJ in various bacteria include YscJ in Yersinia, HrpJ in Pseudomonas syringae, EscJ in enteropathogenic Escherichia coli, etc. The most closely related proteins outside this family are examples of the flagellar M-ring protein FliF.
