WGxxGxxG family protein
WGxxGxxG-CTERM domain-containing protein
This domain, a possible protein-sorting signal, begins with the motif that usually takes the form DWGW, followed by a hydrophobic (and probably membrane-spanning) stretch xGxxGxxGxxG (where x is hydrophobic), and then a short patch of mostly basic residues at the C-terminus. This domain has a broad taxonomic range that includes Firmicutes, Cyanobacteria, and Deinococcus. Members from the Firmicutes tend to occur together with a DUF3231 (PF11553) family protein.
