PhzF family phenazine biosynthesis protein
PhzC/PhzF is involved in dimerisation of two 2,3-dihydro-3-oxo-anthranilic acid molecules to create PCA by P. fluorescens [1]. This family also contains Swiss:P28176, though there is no significant sequence similarity to Pfam:PF00303 members. This family appears to be distantly related to Pfam:PF01678, including containing a weak internal duplication. However members of this family do not contain the conserved cysteines that are hypothesised to be active site residues (Bateman A pers obs). [1]. 11562236. Phenazine biosynthesis in Pseudomonas fluorescens: branchpoint. from the primary shikimate biosynthetic pathway and role of. phenazine-1,6-dicarboxylic acid..
