Lipid peroxidation product 4-hydroxy-2-nonenal effect on cells: time course
Summary:
Analysis of RKO colorectal carcinoma cell line at 6 and 24 hours following exposure to subcytotoxic and cytotoxic amounts of 4-hydroxy-2-nonenal (HNE). HNE is an abundant product of polyunsaturated fatty acid oxidation and decomposition and reacts extensively with DNA and proteins.
