SRX14493322: complete mitochondrial genome sequence of A. flagellatus: medusa
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina MiSeq) run: 34.9M spots, 10.5G bases, 3.2Gb downloads

Design: This project adopts Whole Genome Shotgun (WGS) strategy, builds library, uses Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), based on Illumina NovaSeq Sequencing platform. These libraries were Paired-end (PE) sequencing. The A5-miseq V20150522 and SPAdesv3.9.0 were used to reconstruct contig and scaffolding sequences from high quality second-generation sequencing data.

In recent decades, jellyfish blooms have frequently appeared inshore around the globe, which have caused the serious damages to the coastal economic development, marine ecosystem health and human security. Previous reports have carried out massive studies on the mechanisms of jellyfish blooms by focusing on knowing the ecophysiology characteristic of different stages in their life cycles. However, there have been few researches on the molecular phylogenetic relationship based on mitochondrial genomes among jellyfish species , which was indispensable because of being able to reflect the similarity among species to a certain degree.
