show Abstracthide AbstractThis project used digital inline holographic microscopy (DIHM) to track the 3D positions of swimming Archaeal cells. Environmental isolates of halophillic Archaea have been tracked and their swimming behavior analysed using DIHM and custom-built analysis software. It is vital to this project to identify the species contained in the environmental samples, and hopefully further use this genetic analysis to associate the genes linked with motility structures, and the observed swimming behaviours in our cells.
