Design: cDNA synthesis was carried out using the Whole Transcriptome Amplification Kit (WTA2, Sigma-Aldrich) as per manufacturer instructions. The library construction was performed using the Illumina DNA Prep (Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA) as per kit instructions, starting with 300 ng of DNA as measured by Qubit (Invitrogen).
