In the Lab of Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology at the University of Antwerp, we regularly isolate bacterial strains from human and non-human environment, many of them Lactic Acid Bacteria. Sometimes, these isolates belong to new species. This project gathers data for (some of) these new species.
