The primary data were generated from different Arachis hypogaea L. genotypes by Sanger and 454 sequencing. Peanut or groundnut (Arachis spp.) is both an important oilseed crop and a direct protein source for human nutrition. The currently cultivated peanut belongs to A. hypogeae, the only domesticated species in this genus. It has an allotetraploid genome (2n=4x=40, AABB).
