SRX10993597: RNA-Seq of Lolium perenne: Ovary, Plant 11, High transmission

Design: Samples (~ 3 mg) were powdered in liquid nitrogen using a micropestle in a 1.5 mL tube. The RNA extraction method used was a combination of an organic extraction from each sample using Trizol (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Waltham, USA) followed by further purification of 200 L of the Trizol/chloroform aqueous phase with an RNeasy MinElute Cleanup Kit (Qiagen, Valencia, USA). A TruSeq stranded mRNA sample preparation kit (Illumina, San Diego, CA, USA) was used to generate sequencing libraries from the total RNA extractions, and the indexed libraries were pooled and sequenced using the HiSeqTM 4000 platform by by BGI, Hong Kong.
