SRX1099746: Head transcriptome of Cotesia glomerata: Sample Cglomerata head transcriptome- B1g1h3
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) run: 17.7M spots, 3.6G bases, 2.2Gb downloads

Design: "Female wasps were conditioned to form a memory on the host Pieris brassicae after a single or three spaced trials, and Pieris rapae after three spaced trials. At 3 time points after conditioning the RNA of the wasp heads was isolated, namely 15 minutes, 1 hour and 4 hours after conditioning. RNA was also isolated from wasps without conditioning. For each of these 10 groups 20 wasps were taken and 3 biological replicates were made, resulting in 30 RNA samples originating from 600 female wasps. The sequence data of these 30 samples was pooled to assemble the transcriptome de novo."

Study: Memory induced brain transcriptome of Cotesia glomerata
show Abstracthide Abstract
This C. glomerata transcriptome was assembled to study the differential expression between brains of C. glomerata wasps with or without memory conditioning. These results were compared to those of C. rubecula using the same experimental setup. In this way the natural variation in memory formation between both closely related wasps could be studied, thereby gaining insight on the evolution of memory dynamics.
Sample: Cotesia glomerata head transcriptome
