SRX11323339: RNA-seq of felis catus: adult and juvneile testicular tissue
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina NovaSeq 6000) run: 15.8M spots, 4.8G bases, 1.4Gb downloads

Design: Total RNA was isolated from up to 10 mg of tissue using PureLinkTM RNA Mini Kit with on-column DNase Set. Only samples with RIN 7 were used for library preparation. Sequencing libraries were generated using TruSeq Stranded mRNA LT Sample Prep Kit from Illumina. Fragments were selected with insert sizes between 200-400 bp. The libraries were sequenced 150 bp paired-end with 30 million reads depth per sample.

Study: Transcriptome dynamics in testicular tissue of adult and juvenile domestic cats
show Abstracthide Abstract
The domestic cat is an essential model for biomedical research as well as conservation of endangered felids. To expand our knowledge on processes happening in the testis during puberty, we performed RNA-seq on testicular tissues collected from adult and juvenile domestic cats. Additionally, we looked at the effect of vitrification protocol on testicular tissue transcriptome and compared the response in adult and juvenile samples, which allowed to gain new insights into tissue resilience.
