Inflorescence branching is an important agronomic trait that directly determines the seed yield. Two inflorescence branching mutants were identified from Jatropha curcas population. Transcriptome analysis showed that cytokinin is an essential regulator and play vital roles in controlling inflorescence branching in Jatropha.
