SRX3603947: RNA-Seq of Rana temporaria: toe clip: Poole, UK
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) run: 127.7M spots, 24.5G bases, 10Gb downloads

Design: RNA was extracted from toe clips collected from wild caught R. temporaria. RNA from 3 males and 3 females with RNA integrity scores higher than 8 was pooled. Reverse transcription was conducted using a combination of random hexamer and oligo DT primers. Libraries were sequenced on a HiSeq2000 using v3 chemistry.

Study: RNA-Sequencing data from wild caught European common frog (R. temporaria) populations both with and without a history of ranaviral disease
show Abstracthide Abstract
Ranaviruses are globally distributed and can cause mass mortality within amphibian populations. As such they are of great conservation concern. This project constructed a de-novo transcriptome of the European common frog (R. temporaria) and used it to compare gene expression levels between three populations of R. temporaria with a positive history of ranaviral disease outbreaks and three populations that have remained disease free.
Sample: Frogs sampled in Poole, Dorset, UK.
