Design: RNA extraction: tissue homogenized in Trizol and RNA purified using Zymo Direct-zol RNA MiniPrep (R2050). Library prep: mRNA purified using NEBNext Poly(A) mRNA Magnetic Isolation Module (E7490) and library constructed using NEBNext Ultra Directional RNA Library Prep Kit for Illumina (E7420); two libraries were created, one with insert sizes of ~350 bp and the other with ~510 bp. Sequencing: libraries with both insert sizes were combined and sequenced in NextSeq 500 using High Output v2 kit (300 cycles) in paired-ends (2 x 150 bp)
