SRX5042787: Haplotype-resolved genome assemblies of the Brahman and Angus cattles
1 ILLUMINA (NextSeq 500) run: 8.5M spots, 1.7G bases, 1.1Gb downloads

Design: RiboZero Gold kit
Submitted by: University of Adelaide
Study: Bos indicus x Bos taurus breed:angus and brahman Genome sequencing and assembly
show Abstracthide Abstract
This project is focused on the integration of computation and molecular biology to address biological questions in bovine fetal development. It will create knowledge to understand the functional genomics and gene expression using tissue samples from a unique resource of purebred and reciprocal cross bred individuals of the two cattle sub-species. Various latest sequencing technologies will be used to assemble the two sub-species genomes to facilitate further studies on parental genome effects, sex effect and epigenetic factors in different tissues between pure and hybrid bovine foetus.
