Design: Digestive glands were dissected and stored in RNAlater (Qiagen) at 4C. Total RNA extraction was done using RNeasy MinElute kit (Qiagen) according to the manufacturers protocol with a slight modification. Briefly, tissus disruption was done first with a pestle and then with a beads beater with glass bead (200 m) for 30 sec at max speed. Genomic DNA was removed by DNase digestion on column and total RNA was eluted in ultra pure water. Total RNA was quantified with a nanodrop and RNA integrity was assessed on a bioanalyzeur (Agilent). Total RNA samples were stored at -80C.

Study: De novo assembly of Dreissena polymorpha and Dreissena rostriformis bugensis digestive gland transcriptome

Transcriptomes of D. polymorpha and D. rostriformis bugensis digestive glands were obtained from multipopulation samples. In this study, 45 organisms from 9 populations were used for D. polymorpha digestive gland de novo assembly and 34 organisms from 7 populations for D. rostriformis bugensis. Assemblies thus obtained gathered global informations from french populations of Dreissenids species.
