Design: Whole eggs of Schistocerca gregaria were briefly bleached and washed, then frozen in liquid nitrogen. Total RNA from eggs of each indicated age (day) were extracted separately using Trizol, then pooled. The RNA was quantified using Nanodrop and sent to BGI (Hong Kong) for library preparation and sequencing.
