SRX7110356: RNA-seq of ESB
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2500) run: 13.2M spots, 4G bases, 1.2Gb downloads

Design: Total RNA purity and degradation were checked on a 1% agarose gel. RNA integrity was assessed using the RNA Nano 6000 Assay Kit on the Bioanalyzer 2100 system (Agilent Technologies, CA, USA). Complementary DNA (cDNA) libraries were constructed using the TruSeq RNA Sample Preparation kit v2 (Illumina, USA) following previously described procedures (Aedo et al., 2015). Libraries were sequenced (2 150 bp) using the Illumina platform.

Study: Immune related host response in European seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax) infected with Amyloodinium ocellatum

The ectoparasite protozoan Amyloodinium ocellatum (AO) is the causative agent of amyloodiniosis in European sea bass (Dicentrarchus labrax). Currently, there are no effective preventive measures to control Amyloodinium ocellatum (AO) dinospores/trophonts infection in European sea bass (ESB). A vaccine against AO is not available because specific immunogenic antigens have not been identified yet. Moreover, there is a lack of information about basic molecular mechanisms of host immune responses following AO infection. In order to investigate the innate immune response and repair mechanism during the recovery from amyloodiniosis, study was performed in gills and head kidney of ESB.
