Design: All tissues were collected from three 3 G. hirsutum TX 2094 plants, a wild accession of G. hirsutum that still retains photoperiodic floral initiation and bears deepred petal spots. These plants were all grown in 12-hr day conditions in a controlled room in the greenhouse, with temperatures averaging 30 degrees Celsius
