SRX8392436: RNA-Seq of Bubalus bubalis
1 ILLUMINA (HiSeq X Ten) run: 22.5M spots, 6.7G bases, 2.5Gb downloads

Design: Total RNA was extracted from ear skin tissue samples, libraries were generated using UltraTM RNA Library Prep Kit and sequenced on an HiSeq XTM Ten platform (Illumina).

Study: Asian buffalo population genomics
show Abstracthide Abstract
The Asian water buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) is an important livestock species in tropical and subtropical regions. The project focuses on the characterization of genomic variation and differentiation between swamp type and river type buffalo and the identification of genomic regions and genes underlying performance and/or morphological traits using whole genome sequencing technology. Well-representive buffalo samples will be collectted from China, Southeast Asia and South Asia. The resulting genome-wide variation data will pave a way to future development of genomic selection program in Asian buffalo.
