Design: Libraries were prepared using the Illumina Truseq RNA library prep kit, starting from 3 µg of total RNA obtained from leaves of two years rooted scions of Olea europaea L., cv. Leccino exposed to a gradual lowering of temperatures till light freezing. Libraries were further separated by electrophoresis on a 2% low melting agarose gel, and a region ranging from 400 to 600 bp was excised and DNA purified. cDNA libraries were paired-end (PE) sequenced with reads of 145bp using the Illumina Genome Analyzer IIx.
