show Abstracthide AbstractCoffee berry disease (CBD), caused by the fungus Colletotrichum kahawae, is considered one of the biggest threats to Arabica coffee production, at high altitude, in Africa. Some coffee genotypes are known to be resistant to CBD, but the molecular genetic basis of coffee resistance is still unknown. The goal of this project is to analyse the expression differences between two cultivars of Coffea spp. - one resistant, other susceptible - during the early stages of infection of the pathogen Colletotrichum kahawae.
