This project is an attempt to explore the mechanistic details of regeneration as the inferences drawn, will add to the present knowledge of the regenerative process in Northern House Gecko, Hemidactylus flaviviridis. Efforts are being channelized to analyse the temporal gene expression data by performing a transcriptome analysis, from the collected samples. A detailed understanding of the pathways responsible for the realization of various stages of regeneration shall bring into light the hitherto elusive transcriptional regulators of epimorphic regeneration. This, in the long run, will open new avenues to some very important applied fields of biology viz. regenerative medicine, cancer therapy, etc.
