show Abstracthide AbstractThe present analysis builds upon past molecular analyses of the wheat tribe through analyses of exon sequence data from over 1000 nuclear loci obtained through targeted sequence capture, along with a matched sample of nearly-complete chloroplast genomes. The results highlight (1) strongly-supported cpDNA-based relationships; (2) several well-supported "nuclear genome" relationships among major genera; (3) multiple lineages that remain difficult to place with confidence; (4) similarities and differences among nuclear data subsets based on chromosome arms; and (5) similarities and broad differences between the chloroplast and combined-nuclear trees.
