show Abstracthide AbstractTo evaluate if Plasmodium knowlesi-iRBCs could bind to human endothelial cells, we repeatedly panned monkey RBCs infected with a wild type P. knowlesi on HUVECs. We performed 2 selection experiments, exp-1 and exp-2. We obtained 2 cytoadherent P. knowlesi samples (6th pan and 8th pan) and 2 control samples (pre-1 and pre-2) in the exp-1, and 2 cytoadherent P. knowlesi samples (well-1 and well-2) and 1 control sample (pre-3) in the exp-2. Then we performed RNA-sequencing (RNA-seq) of these 7 samples at 3 different time points (4h, 8h, and 24h after invasion) to identify differentially expressed genes.
