SRX699551: Bangladesh ground water January 2011
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) run: 14.6M spots, 2.9G bases, 1.7Gb downloads

Design: A whole genome shotgun library was prepared using the Nextera DNA library preparation kit (Illumina) from DNA extracted from 11 Bara Haldia wells sampled January 2011 (21750, 21757, 21764, 21774, 21775, 21786, 21787, 21790, 21792, 21793 and 21794). In these wells, during this sampling period, E. coli concentrations ranged from <1 to 42 MPN/100mls and arsenic concentrations ranged from <1 to 218 ppb.

Study: Bangladesh Surface and Ground Water Metagenomes
show Abstracthide Abstract
Drinking water in parts of Bangladesh may be contaminated with arsenic and/or water-borne pathogens. Metagenomes from surface water and ground water samples were generated to provide genetic information on microbial arsenic metabolic pathways and to search for potential water-borne pathogens.
