show Abstracthide AbstractDrug-induced fibrosis models using normal or immunosuppressed small animals have been used in transplantation and regenerative medicine to improve liver fibrosis. Although large animal models are needed for pre-clinical studies, they are yet to be established owing to drug sensitivity in animal species and difficulties in setting doses. In this data, we evaluated liver fibrosis by treatment with thioacetamide (TA) in Microminipigs and thymectomized Microminipigs to establish a liver fibrosis model in large animals. This model is similar to the pathogenesis of liver fibrosis observed in small animal models. Therefore, it is expected to contribute to the research as a pre-clinical model for organ and cell transplantation.
