SRX6818694: PE WGS Illumina sequencing of Entamoeba moshkovskii strain Laredo, with additional singlet reads, originally mapped to Entamoeba moshkovskii Laredo 454 Genome Assembly
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina MiSeq) run: 5.5M spots, 1.6G bases, 862.1Mb downloads

Design: DNA from axenic culture grown in LYI-S-2 media, extracted using adapted CTAB phenol-chloroform extraction method. 100bp library prepared and sequenced using TruSeq DNA sample prep low throughput protocol.

Study: Entamoeba moshkovskii Laredo genome sequencing and assembly
show Abstracthide Abstract
Recent studies have suggested that Entamoeba moshkovskii is capable of causing symptomatic amoebiasis in human hosts. We sequenced and performed a de novo assembly of Entamoeba moshkovskii Laredo, and mapped to it reads from 3 more strains - FIC, 15114, and 'Snake' - in order to investigate the virulence properties of strains of this species.
Sample: Entamoeba moshkovskii strain Laredo
