SRX3686947: RNA-seq of Dromaius novaehollandiae: adult female liver, biological replicate 1

Design: Flash frozen tissues stored in RNAlater at -80 C were homogenized with a Tissumizer (Tekmar). Total RNA was extracted from each specimen using the RNeasy mini kit (Qiagen). RNA samples were processed with a PrepX PolyA kit (Wafergen Biosystems) on the Apollo 324 (IntegenX) to enrich for polyadenylated transcripts. Stranded RNA-seq libraries were generated from these samples using the PrepX mRNA 48 kit (Wafergen Biosystems) on the Apollo 324.
