SRX1657398: RNA-Seq of Symphodus ocellatus female brain
1 ILLUMINA (Illumina HiSeq 2000) run: 43M spots, 8.7G bases, 5.1Gb downloads

Design: Whole Brain RNA was isolated with Trizol, and mRNA was isolated using MicroPoly(A) Purist (Ambion). Libraries were constructed using the NEBNext mRNA Library Prep Kit (New England BioLabs).
Submitted by: University of Pennsylvania
Study: Symphodus ocellatus Raw sequence reads

Symphodus ocelllatus is a Mediterranean wrasse species with discrete variation in male reproductive tactics. We compared brain transcriptomic profiles across male morphs and females to identify differences in gene expression associated with variation in behavior. Whole brain RNA was pooled from 5 adult individuals with sex/morphotype and sequenced on an Illumina HighSeq 2000.
Sample: Female Whole Brain
