The golden dust stingray (Potamotrygon marinae) is a species of stingray in the family Potamotrygonidae found in rivers in tropical and subtropical South America (from Wikipedia entry). This sample of a female individual found in French Guiana, was procured by Yann Guiguen and Julien Bobe to generate transcriptomic data for the Vertebrate Genomes Project (VGP).
