The red junglefowl (Gallus gallus) is a tropical bird native to Southeast Asia and parts of South Asia, and a domesticated subspecies (the chicken) is one of the most widespread domestic animals. This genome was supported by Antton Alberdi Estibaritz, Tom Gilbert, Sofia Marcos, and Antone Estonba.
