Description

Xenorhabdus griffinae strain BMMCB is a Gram-negative bacteria that is capable of parasitizing insect host in their larval stage of devlopment. It is harbored by Steinernema khoisanae which enter the host larvae through natural openings and regurgitate the bacterial endosymbiont into the host haemolymph. The bacteria releases toxins which are lethal to the host larvae and result in mortality
