Is expressed in several structures, including alimentary system; central nervous system; epidermis; genitourinary system; and sensory organ. Used to study Leber congenital amaurosis 8 and retinitis pigmentosa 12. Human ortholog(s) of this gene implicated in pigmented paravenous chorioretinal atrophy and retinal disease (multiple).
