Manufacture protocol The PCR amplicon microarray was designed based on CDS annotated from the A. fumigatus AF293 whole genome sequence. The array consists of 29,952 spots. The spots represent 9796 A. fumigatus AF293 genes spotted in triplicate with the remaining spots being empty. The PCR products were printed on Corning glass UltraGAPs amino-silane coated slides at JCVI using a high density automated arrayer (Intelligent Automation, Cambridge, MA 02139). The array consists of spots arranged 26 x 24 grids. There are 48 grids in 4 columns (meta-columns) and 12 rows (meta-rows).
