Description The Bovine array includes 43,822 probes designed using the program OligoArray 2.1 (Rouillard et al. 2003): 20,859 specific oligos (35-40mer) were designed on Ensembl release 50, 19,230 were designed on Bovine Unigene and 3,550 on Bovine EST database (Jul 2008), while 183 oligonucleotides sequences, provided by the manufacturer, were used as quality and negative controls. The 90K BovineArrayTM 1.0 was designed with two replicates of each probe randomly distributed across the array to allow measurement of the variability within the array. All the procedures provided were performed as indicated by CombiMatrix protocols available at the CombiMatrix website (www.combimatrix.com)
