In collaboration with Affymetrix, the European AGRON-OMICS project has developed a new array including probes representing both strands of the entire Arabidopsis genome. Performance comparison with the ATH1 array indicates that both microarrays yield data of comparable quality, but that the new tiling array yields expression information for significantly more genes, since the ATH1 array profiles only about 65% of >33.000 TAIR9 annotated genes. The AGRONOMICS1 arrays also carry all of the original ATH1 sense probes, thereby streamlining the integration with ATH1-based results.

This platform represents an independent mapping of the probe sequences to TAIR10. The supplementary file contains the probe id (probeset_x_y), chromosome, start position and strand.
