MicroRNA probes were designed by LC Sciences (based on Sanger Institute miRBase repository sequences on August 2, 2005). LNA-modified RNA probes were synthesized in situ using photogenerated acid coupled with conventional DMT chemistry (LNA-modification ensures Tm-normalization).
