Title [TB-All-Antisense] Affymetrix M. tuberculosis Antisense Array
Technology type in situ oligonucleotide
Distribution commercial
Organism Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv
Manufacturer Affymetrix
Manufacture protocol The TB-All-Antisense GeneChip(R) array was manufactured by Affymetrix in 1998 for gene expression analysis of the M. tuberculosis H37Rv strain. This was a PM/MM design which covers all ORFs and intergenic regions described by GenBank as of Oct 1998. 3924 ORFs and 738 intergenic regions and their reverse complements are interrogated with 20 probe pairs each (25mers). There is a total of 118,180 probe pairs on the chip.

Note that this array is not the same as the M. tuberculosis array available through the Affymetrix NimbleExpress(TM) Made-To-Order program (array name: M_tubercul530104):

http://www.affymetrix.com/products/arrays/specific/nimble_prokaryotic.affx

The newer NimbleExpress array was designed using a more recent version of the M. tuberculosis genome, though most of the probe sets should detect largely the same set of expressed genes as the older TB-All-Antisense array.

Description Affymetrix submissions are typically submitted to GEO using the GEOarchive method described at http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/projects/geo/info/geo_affy.html
