Summary |
Lp(a) induced human aortic valve interstitial cells calcification, this work intend to elucidate the undermined biological pathways by analysing Lp(a) induced gene expression. Results provided important information of Lp(a) induced biological pathways, and showed that Lp(a) possibly exert its effects on osteogenesis, apoptosis, extracellular matrix remodeling, and vesicle biogenesis via 14-3-3 regulated biological pathways.

Overall design |
Total RNAs were extracted from human aortic valve interstitial cells treated with or without 50µg/ml purified human Lp(a) for 3 days, 10 days and 20 days. Samples included: 3 days: HAVICs treated with/without Lp(a) in non-osteogenic medium (n=2 each group), and in osteogenic medium (n=2 each group); Day 10: HAVICs treated with or without Lp(a) in osteogenic medium (n=1 each group); Day 20: HAVICs treated with or without Lp(a) in osteogenic medium (n=1 each group).
