Title RNA-seq of Nicotiana tabacum BY-2 cells treated with the chitin oligomer NAG6 and with the Moniliophthora perniciosa effector MpChi
Organism Nicotiana tabacum
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary This study evaluates the ability of MpChi, an effector protein from the fungus Moniliophthora perniciosa, in suppressing the transcriptional reprogramming associated with MTI (MAMP-triggered immunity) in Nicotiana tabacum cells exposed to the chitin oligomer NAG6.

Overall design Nicotiana tabacum BY-2 cells were treated with 10 nM NAG6, 100 nM MpChi, 10 nM NAG6 + 100 nM MpChi or H2O (Mock treatment). Samples were harvested immediately before the start of the experiment (Time 0, untreated cells) and at four time points after the treatment (15 min, 60 min, 120 min and 180 min). The experiment was performed in triplicate.
